At the 45th Annual Diocesan Convention, we welcomed the newest Mission Station in our diocese, St. Francis Episcopal Church for the Highlands in Shreveport.
St. Francis for the Highlands initially began in 2010. It was founded by the Rev. John Henson, who also started two churches in Texas. They became interested in joining The Episcopal Church after using the Book of Common Prayer.
In May 2023, John Henson was ordained to the priesthood in The Episcopal Church. He also serves as our Missioner for Racial Reconciliation.
St. Francis for the Highlands has served the Shreveport community for years, and we support them in their important ministries.
