Cindy Robertson, a postulant for ordination to the diaconate, is spearheading hurricane relief and recovery efforts in her neighborhood in Sulphur. With help from Archdeacon Lois Maberry and volunteers from St. Barnabas in Lafayette, residents in need can come to the Senior Center on Fridays to pick up supplies, fresh fruit, and homemade casseroles and cookies. The volunteers also offer a listening ear and words of encouragement to anyone who wants to talk and through these conversations can connect people who need additional help to other resources that are available.
